July 29th, 2009

Bob with his kids Austin and Haley from Roswell, N.M.
with limits of Walleye taken 7/27/09.
Water temp = 78 degrees
The fishing remains pretty good for all species, and can be considered excellent on any given day. I had only one trip this past week, and it was all we could do to not catch Walleye. After our limits of Walleye, we went looking for Whites, but came up with only more Walleye ----some days you can do no wrong.
Walleye -- Trolling deep running lures anywhere from 12-20 feet of water. In my opinion the Walleye are on an excellent bite.
Whites --Could not catch any, but they are around. They may be suspended in a little deeper water than I am currently fishing. Coves may be another good place to find them feeding on shad that they have cornered.
Channel cats -- Still being caught in pretty good numbers ---try 6-15 feet near brush using Sonny's stickey bait. Chicken liver is also producing.
Smallies & Largemouth -- Early morning top water, then move a bit deeper using Carolina rigged plastics and drop shotting near submerged brush.
FISH-ON,
Rob & Maria
