Nov. 15th, 2010

Maria and I went out 11/14/10 for 3 hours and ended up with our limit of Walleye.

Fred, Drew and Paul from Texas with fish caught on 11/13/10.

Lofton Washington from Amarillo with Channel cats and Walleye taken 11/11/10.

Water temp = 54 degrees, main lake lightly stained, river arms moderately stained. The lake has turned over this past week and the fishing is really starting to perk up.
Walleye--Good to Excellent. Fish minnows or slabs in 40 feet of water near the main channel from the dam to the Ute. There has been a morning bite for me.
White bass--Good to Excellent. Fish minnows or slabs in 25-30 feet of water near the main channel.
Catfish --Good to Excellent. Cheese stink baits in 4-8 feet of water continues to catch them. Quite a few are also being caught in 40 feet of water while going after the Walleye.
Bass/Crappie--No reports

Nov. 7th, 2010

Bill, Dave and Mike from ABQ with limits of Walleye taken on 11/06/10.

Curt with a few whites caught on 10/31/10
Water Temp = 59 degrees, Main lake cloudy and river arms stained.
Fishing has been on and off on any given day, but I have finally found the Walleye after 4 days of fishing. They also seem to be on a consistent bite. The next few days would be a good time to book a trip!!!!
Small and Large mouth bass--Slow-- no reports
Crappie ---????
Catfish--Good--use stink baits and liver fished in 5-10 feet of water near the reeds.
White bass ---Fair to good--Minnows or slabs. I have catching more of them in 10-15 feet of water, but you can catch a few that are deeper. I have not seen any large schools of them in their typical late fall patterns
Walleye --Good to Excellent--fish minnows and slabs in 20-40 feet of water. Fish near the main channel from the dam to Horseshoe. They seem to be on a sunrise to 10:00 A.M. bite.

Rob & Maria
