Sept. 24, 2010

Cats caught on 9/23/10 using Sonny's sticky bait in 4-8 feet of water near cattails on the main lake.
Water Temp = 74 degrees, river arms stained, main lake lightly stained.
I have been Elk hunting the last few weeks which is the main reason for no updates on my fishing report. We received a good rain on Wed. night and both the Ute and Canadian are running.
Cat fishing is the hottest ticket right now if you want to catch some quality fish. Stink baits fished near cattails in 4-8 feet of water ----also with both creeks flowing, try getting into the current in 4 feet of water and try it. Historically, it is an excellent method to catch them.
Walleye have been slow, but a few are being caught in 30-50 feet of water using slabs and blades.
White bass have been slow, but trolling in deeper water will catch a few. They are schooled up once in a while, but it can be hard to find them.
Small and Large mouth bass has been slow, but try top water early in the morning and then work deeper as the day goes on.
The Logan Open is scheduled for next weekend. It is one of the bigger bass tourneys in the state. Call me for more info.
I currently have no info for the N.M. Govenors Cup. This is a Walleye Tourney that usually happens in the fall. I will update as soon as I get some info.
