Water Temp = 62 degrees

The fishing remains pretty good for all species, but we have had to battle the wind the last few days. I have been on the water the last three days -- caught fish every day but the wind has prevented me from fishing the edges of the channel that I love to do. Trolling Reef Runners and Wally Divers have produced 4-5 fish every trip, but it is a little bit early for that bite to be real good.

Walleye -- fishing fair to good ---many fish have moved into 2-6 feet of water. Use minnows or throw jerk baits near the shore line. The closer you are to the mesquite, the better. They are also near the main channel in 10-14 feet of water, but it is hard to fish vertically over them with the strong winds we have received.

Smallmouth and Largemouth --- good to excellent ---they are on their beds in the shallow water. Many are spooky --approach slow and quit. Use tubes and grubs. Jerk baits are also producing. Senkos with no or very little weight will also work.

Catfish --- Stink baits in 2-6 feet of water is working well. I am going to start stocking "Sonny's"
sticky bait along with a full line of Catfishing tackle. I'm also going to start advertising more Catfish guiding trips because of the amount of fish that can be consistantly taken.

Crappie -- I believe that the bite is on. I have seen quite a few limits of them the last few days. Minnows is the ticket fished up the Ute arm near the cotten woods in 4-6 feet of water.

Whitebass --- I would go up the Canadian arm with white grubs on a 1/4 ounce jig. Throw them on the edge of shore and work them back to the boat.
