Adam, Daniel and dad Jeff from Portalas, N.M. with their catch taken 12/8/10. We hit the water at 8:00 a.m. and were off at 1:00p.m. Not pictured were the 20 White bass that were resting in the cooler. The bigger Walleye weighed 4 pounds --23 inches long.
Water temp = 46 degrees, main lake cloudy, river arms stained
Fishing continues to be pretty good, but you really need to be on top of the fish. We caught all of the above fish in about a 20 sq, foot area. The Walleye seem to like eating the minnows at 40 feet and the White bass seem to prefer the white Leprechaun slab in 30-40 feet of water. I have been catching some Small mouth in the same area ---40 feet of water. Catfish are also hitting the same baits in the same spot ---40 feet of water.
FISH-ON,
Rob & Maria
